Resona.Your music, your server.

Resona is a Spotify-like Android player for people who host their own music. It auto-discovers Navidrome, OpenSubsonic, Jellyfin, Emby and WebDAV servers on the LAN, and plays with gapless audio, a 5-band EQ with ReplayGain, offline downloads, synced lyrics, speed control, a sleep timer and voice search. No analytics, no ads, no accounts: credentials live encrypted in the Android Keystore.

The problem

Self-hosters have great servers and poor players: clunky apps, no offline mode, no equaliser, gaps between tracks, and often an account or analytics that defeat the point of hosting your own music.

What I built

A player built around the servers people already run, with every feature working offline and nothing leaving the device.

  • 01

    Multi-server support

Navidrome, OpenSubsonic, Jellyfin, Emby and plain WebDAV, discovered automatically on the LAN.

  • 02

    Playback engine

Gapless playback, 5-band EQ with ReplayGain, speed control, sleep timer and background audio with proper media controls.

  • 03

    Offline, lyrics & search

Download albums and playlists for offline listening, time-synced lyrics, and voice search.

  • 04

    Privacy by default

No analytics, no ads, no accounts; server credentials encrypted in the Android Keystore. Published on Google Play.
