Building the Future of Healthcare Technology
After winning prizes in both the Accel India event and an Anthropic-conducted event, my college friend and I were motivated to turn our app idea into a full-time startup. I left Daply to join AyuApp as a Full-Stack Tech Lead, where I'm building an AI-integrated healthcare platform that aims to revolutionize how patients, doctors, and pharmacies interact.
Our vision is to create a "UPI for Healthcare" - a universal system that anyone can easily integrate into their platforms, making healthcare more accessible and efficient for everyone.
Full-Stack Development & Responsibilities
Next.js & React Native Applications
Leading development of both Next.js web applications and React Native mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms. I handle the complete development lifecycle from architecture to deployment, ensuring seamless integration between web and mobile platforms.
Patient App (React Native)
AI-integrated personal app for patients to manage their medical records, connect with doctors, and order medicines from nearby pharmacies. Features include OCR for medical record digitization and AI-powered health insights.
Doctor Dashboard (Next.js)
Comprehensive Next.js dashboard for doctors to view patient details, manage appointments, access medical records, and provide consultations. Built with real-time data synchronization using WebSocket integration.
Pharmacy App (React Native)
Separate React Native application for pharmacies to accept and reject medicine orders from patients. Includes order management, inventory tracking, and delivery coordination features with real-time updates via WebSocket.
Prescription Ordering System
Patients can directly place orders for medicines from prescriptions to nearby pharmacies. The system matches prescriptions with available medicines and connects patients with the nearest pharmacy using geolocation services.
Technical Implementation
AI API Integration
Integrated multiple AI APIs for medical record processing, health insights, and intelligent recommendations. The system uses AI to analyze medical data and provide actionable insights to both patients and doctors.
WebSocket Integration
Implemented real-time communication using WebSocket for instant updates across all platforms. This enables live notifications for appointments, order status updates, and real-time chat between patients and doctors.
Payment Integration - Stripe & Razorpay
Integrated both Stripe and Razorpay payment gateways to handle payments for pharmacy orders and subscription services. The system supports multiple payment methods and handles both one-time orders and recurring subscriptions seamlessly.
Order & Subscription Management
Built comprehensive systems to handle both pharmacy orders and subscription services. This includes order tracking, subscription lifecycle management, automated renewals, and payment processing for both types of transactions.
AI-Powered Features
Medical Record Digitization
Implemented OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to digitize medical records from images. The AI system extracts relevant information from prescriptions, lab reports, and medical documents, making them easily accessible and searchable.
AI-Integrated EHR System
Currently building an AI-powered Electronic Health Record (EHR) system that will serve as the foundation for our healthcare platform. This system will enable seamless data sharing and integration across different healthcare providers.
Awards & Recognition
Google AI for Impact Award - APAC 2024
Won the Google AI for Impact Award in the APAC 2024 competition (Google Cloud Developer Competition) in the category of "Best Usage of Google Gen AI Tools". This prestigious recognition validated our innovative approach to using AI in healthcare and motivated us to pursue AyuApp as a full-time startup.
Accel India & Anthropic Event - Prize Winner
Won prizes in both the Accel India event and an Anthropic-conducted event for our innovative healthcare solution. These recognitions further validated our AI-integrated healthcare platform approach and gave us the confidence to build AyuApp as a full-time startup.
Future Vision: UPI for Healthcare
Our ultimate goal is to make AyuApp the "UPI for Healthcare" - a universal, interoperable system that any healthcare platform can easily integrate. Just like UPI revolutionized payments in India, we want to revolutionize healthcare accessibility and data sharing.
This vision includes creating APIs and SDKs that allow developers to integrate our healthcare infrastructure into their own platforms, making it easier for everyone to build healthcare solutions without starting from scratch.
